How long does an oil change take at Perfect Lube?
Most oil changes are completed in about 10 minutes. We designed our process for speed without cutting corners, so you can get back on the road quickly.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is needed. Perfect Lube is a walk-in shop open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Just drive in and we will take care of you.
What oil brands do you carry and how much do they cost?
We offer three tiers: Valvoline Synthetic Blend, Mobil 1 Full Synthetic, and MOTUL 100% Full Synthetic. Each service includes up to 5 quarts of oil and an OEM filter. Call us for current pricing.
What does "sealed bottles" mean?
Every oil change at Perfect Lube uses factory-sealed bottles opened right in front of you. This guarantees you are getting the exact brand and grade of oil you are paying for, with no substitutions.
Do you service luxury and European vehicles?
Yes! We specialize in premium and luxury vehicles including Porsche, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen, Corvette, and Range Rover. Our MOTUL 100% full synthetic oil with OEM filters gives you the same quality as the dealership — done in 10 minutes at half the price.
How often should I change my oil?
Most modern vehicles running full synthetic oil can go 5,000 to 7,500 miles between changes. Vehicles using synthetic blend oil should be changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Check your owner's manual or ask our technicians for a recommendation specific to your vehicle.
What is the difference between synthetic blend and full synthetic oil?
Synthetic blend is a mix of conventional and synthetic oil that offers good protection at a lower cost. Full synthetic oil provides superior engine protection, better performance in extreme temperatures, and longer intervals between changes. We recommend full synthetic for luxury and high-performance vehicles.
What is included in an oil change?
Every oil change includes up to 5 quarts of your chosen oil, a new premium oil filter, and a complimentary multi-point inspection covering fluid levels, tire pressure, and belts. Additional quarts are available if your vehicle requires more.
Do you offer coupons or discounts?
Yes. We offer $26 off our MOTUL Full Synthetic Oil Change and $20 off any oil change service (minimum purchase required). Our coupons do not expire and cannot be combined with other offers or fleet discounts.
Do you offer a Price Match Guarantee?
Yes. If you find a lower advertised price for the same oil change service at a nearby shop, bring in the offer and we will match it. We are committed to providing the best value on the Peninsula.
Where is Perfect Lube located?
We are located at 1792 El Camino Real in San Carlos, CA 94070. We are easy to find on El Camino Real between Belmont and Redwood City, with convenient access from Highway 101 and Interstate 280.
What other services do you offer besides oil changes?
In addition to oil changes, we offer brake service and inspection, transmission fluid service, coolant flush and fill, and air filter replacement. We provide honest assessments and only recommend work that is truly needed.
